Turn Easter Decor into Spring Decor

Hi Everyone!

I am here to give you inspiration, ideas, and little tricks or hacks. This was a very cute Easter Vintage Truck which was purchased at one of the dollar stores. It carried Easter Eggs in the back bed. It was so cute, that I wanted to keep it out for another month or so or even longer. My Mom made some felt flowers to put in the back and voila, it is now SPRING DECOR. The flowers cover up the Easter Eggs perfectly. They are not even glued in.

Felt flowers are VERY easy to make. They are nice to make when it is raining outside. We chose colors that complimented the existing colors of the truck. My Mom used buttons for the centers of the flowers.

I hope this post helps someone get the idea to change out their Easter Decorations before putting them up for the year.

I hope we have inspired you to get creative!

Wooden Short Easter Bunny with Happy Painted Face

Hi Everybody!

For the spaces in your home where you don’t have room for a full size bunny, here is a short version. It is just a Bunny Bust. It is just the face and neck with a big bow tie. All bunnies were made with repurposed fence boards. This wood is thicker than privacy fence board however, not quite thick enough to stand alone.

Wooden-Short-Bunny with painted face and ears. He has a bow and eggs that have a bunny and Happy Easter on them.

Mom made little wooden feet (paw) so that the bunny would stand alone. Mom does all the cutting of the wood. She made a pattern similar to the porch leaners we made.

Wooden Short Bunny.

Between his paws and his bow there was room to add some decorated eggs. I am an Independent Chalk Couture Designer so I used two Easter transfers to put the wording on with white chalk paste. I did paint these and then wax them so the transfers would not bleed.

Brown Christian Cross for Neutral Color Home Decor

Here is another Cross my Mom made. She has made SEVERAL! I will be posting here throughout the week and next week with all the different ones she has made. She started working on these during all the bad weather we had.

She is adding the finishing touches and giving them to me to blog about and put on the marketplace. We hope to do a flea market/craft show soon. After we get our vaccines.

It does look good mixed in with Spring Decor.
The paint she used has a gloss finish, so it was kind of hard to take a picture without some glare. But in person it is beautiful.
Here it is propped up on a shutter I have in my office. It does have a hanger on the back.
I love crosses!
