Hip Hop Hooray! Easter’s On Its Way!
This wooden home decor will make someBUNNY feel special. He is made from heavy duty scrap wood we had on hand. The wood had a lot of character and looked rustic so staining it seemed the perfect finishing touch. Keep reading for the details and pictures.

Mom “stained” the whole bunny with watered down brown acrylic craft paint. Then I used painter’s tape to make the striped lines. I wanted it to match my home which has shades of aqua and brown. I was going to also add cream but decided I liked just the blue and brown.

I used my Chalk Couture teal paste to “stain” the stripes. I also used a Chalk Couture transfer to put on the words “Hoppy Easter”. I am a Chalk Couture Independent Designer. The paste is not permanent until you seal it. So I will seal it with spray on clear acrylic spray when I am totally finished.

We were going to just use it as a porch leaner. But I asked Mom if she could put a base on it so it could stand anywhere in your home or outside your home. Ask and you shall have it with my Mom. She screwed the base onto the bunny and also glued it for good measure with E6000. This is one substantial bunny rabbit!

I made a bow with tails using aqua polka dot burlap ribbons, aqua lace, and even some dollar tree ribbon. I love bows. They always add the finishing touch!

Please view my time lapsed video on Facebook of me making this bunny. The link is below.
If Aqua is NOT your color, you could use pink, yellow, etc to make the stripes. You could even make the stripes look like ship lap. There are so many options with Easter Colors. Easter will be here before we know it.
Thank you so much for reading about how we made this Aqua Hoppy Bunny. Take care, God Bless!
