Yo-Yo Christmas Tree
Hi Everyone! So glad you stopped by my blog today!
I want to show you a yo-yo Christmas tree that my Mom made. She loves to sew!
To watch how to make a yo-yo, you can YouTube search “How to make a yo-yo the traditional way.” I want my Mom to take pictures of her step by step process the next time she makes a yo-yo and I can post about that. But in the meantime, YouTube has everything you need.
She made graduated sizes of yo-yo’s with several different fabric patterns to make the tree. She used about 3-4 of the same size then 3-4 of a smaller size and so forth until she was at the top. She made the base out of a wood round and secured a wooden dowel in the middle. She cut a slit in the bottom of each yo-yo so it would go through the dowel. She added a star on top and I added the bow beneath the star.
This is just a quick post to give you an idea on what you can make with yo-yo’s. They don’t have to be for quilts or table runners. These are also great for putting on top of boxed presents or mason jars full of goodies. They make great Tree Ornaments too.
Thank you for reading my blog!! It means a lot to me!
