Purple Spooky Bottles

Hi Everyone! I was going to recycle or buy some bottles to paint either black or purple to make Halloween Decorations. But I saw plenty for sale at Walmart and Dollar General. These two bottles, I bought at Dollar General for three dollars each. They already came with the label and the skeleton cork topper. These are perfect to use to add your own unique touches.

For the first bottle I used a crown for the skeleton head. I dry brushed some purple paint on the skeleton head and the bottle. The bottle was already a very deep purple but it wasn’t prominent enough for my taste. The crown was made from two buttons.

The beads look really pink on camera. They are really orchid purple.

I added black eyelash trim around the edge of the neck. A boa was too thick but the eyelash trim was perfect. For the beads, I didn’t glue them on, I just loosely draped them so they could be changed around to the owners content.

I added a rhinestone in one of the skeleton’s eye.
I bought these beads in the jewelry department at JoAnns. They are iridescent and color shifting.

For the second bottle I added a witch hat. This bottle was totally matte black with an aqua colored label. I added more purple paint than I did with the first bottle.

You can barely see it, but I added a glittered up spider web to the side of the bottle. It matches the glittered spider on the hat.

The hat and spider web came from a halloween pick I bought at Walmart. The hat was the perfect size. It doesn’t fit all that well because it had a flat bottom. So I hid that portion with some pipe cleaners that came with the witch hat pick.

The beads came from Dollar Tree. They are a bluish purple.
I even added paint to the aqua label for a more vintage look.

Thank you for reading all about my spooky bottles. If you drink wine, you could make these with recycled bottles. Paint your bottle with Rustoleum 2x Paint and Primer first with flat black. Then you can paint over that with purple, orange, etc. Give it a try. Make some for Christmas and other holidays too.

Thank you for reading my blog!! It means a lot to me!
