Three Silver Trays Make a Pumpkin
Hi Everyone!
This is my take on the three silver trays turned into a pumpkin creation. This has been done by so many crafters, I certainly cannot take credit for the idea. But I had an inspiration to do one in blue. My inspiration was a little blue pumpkin that I purchased at Hobby Lobby. I wanted a blue toile look. You will see a picture down below.

I bought my trays at a little flea market and probably paid too much. I like to keep the local markets in business. lol….But you can buy these at Dollar Tree and save money. Scroll to the bottom to see my supply list.

I began by decoupaging some scrapbook paper to the inside of each tray. I then glued two rows of twine all around the edges. That way any imperfections in the scrapbook paper cut is hidden. Twine matches perfectly with almost anything. But you could also use pearls or bling to line the edges. I then added a little antique gold RUB N BUFF to all the scroll edges.

I began by putting the two trays together. I overlapped them, but I suggest putting them exactly side by side. I still used a popsicle stick to secure them together.

After these are securely glued (you may want to wait before adding the third tray on top.) Hot glue alone does not adhere well to metal. It gets cold too quickly. I had to use both hot glue and E6000 glue. The E6000 takes about 24 hours to set up.
After getting all three trays put together, I began making the stem. I wrapped twine around another popsicle stick so I would have something for my TOTALLY DAZZLED pin to glue to. I chose a really big pin with a lot of swirls and large and small stones.
