Decoupaged Stand Up Easter Egg

Hi Everyone! We are here for home decor and crafting inspiration. Here’s some Easter Decor and decoupage inspiration.

It’s REVERSIBLE! We were going to paint this LARGE egg but decided decoupaging was the way to go. One side has pink polka dot fabric and the other side has pastel stripes from a napkin. We always have to have a Plan B because sometimes our Plan A doesn’t work out.

Here’s a collage of several pictures.

The egg stood by itself because the piece of wood is really thick. But Mom added the base to make it sturdier and more substantial. We have a lot of scrap wood we collected from doing other projects and from a fence we are tearing down.

I added the egg hang tags. One has “You Are a Good Egg”. The other has “Happy Easter”. I used my Chalk Couture Transfers. I am an Independent Chalk Couture Designer and love using these screen prints instead of stencils.

We bought Easter Colored Ribbon from Hobby Lobby to make the bow on top. I wanted the bow to be seen from both directions. That way the forever home has the choice of which way they want to position the egg when they get it home. The tags can be put on either side or both on one side.

The sides were so thick that they needed some decoration too. Hope you like the polka dots. 🙂
We bought Easter colored fabric from Walmart. The pink polka dot is from one of those packages.

I hope we give you ideas to create projects of your own. My Mom seems to be doing better after the rough year of 2020. She loves to stay busy and loves having a “purpose”. Don’t we all?
