Turquoise and Brown Wooden Cross with Jeweled Pendant
Hi Everyone! We are here to inspire you to be creative. Having a hobby can help you with grief and depression. Here is another craft idea if you are interested.
Turquoise is a very special color to me. It is my birthstone. So this is a very special cross. It has three layers of wooden crosses plus a turquoise and brown (tiger’s eye) stone embellished cross. The stones are faux but they are beautiful!! I will be keeping this cross. It is just beautiful and I don’t think the pictures do it justice.
Mom began with the bottom layer which has a very nice shape to it. But when she put the second layer it really began to look like a work of art. The third cross was added on top because the jeweled pendant didn’t show up against the brown background. It along with the jewel was the pièce de ré·sis·tance.
I hope we have inspired you to go out and be creative. Even if you don’t have wood to work with you can recycle and repurpose items you do have. Think outside the box and create mixed media which is a combination of painting, collage, decoupage, ink stamping, etc. The possibilities are endless! Just have fun!
