Season’s Greetings and Happy Holidays are phrases that take into account many religions and also go through New Year’s Day.

I bought some frames from GoodWill and wanted to create a upscale Christmas Decoration. I used my Chalk Couture Transfer “Season’s Greetings”. It comes with this phrase plus a deer silhouette and evergreen swags. I will put some pictures below where I used this transfer on some other items. I am an Independent Chalk Couture Designer. Please see my Facebook Page, Town and Country Chalk Creations, for more details.

These frames did come with glass and I could have put the Chalk Paste on the glass. I will do some like that at a later time. I can’t seal glass so I wanted these to be more permanent. I did not use the glass at all.

Mom cut a dollar store plaque made from cardboard to fit the frame. I painted it with white acrylic paint and then waxed it. It is important to wax this kind of surface so the transfer doesn’t pull up the paint when you remove it.
Comment below, message me on my Facebook page or email me if you want to learn more about this process.
Please keep scrolling for all the pictures done with this transfer.

- Sand the wood
- Paint the wood with acrylic paint in white
- Sand the paint
- Wax over the paint
- Fuzz the transfer so it won’t be TOO STICKY (otherwise it will bring up the paint)
- Chalk one color at a time and let dry
- Add ribbon and embellishments

I hope you liked reading about this idea of using some of your old frames in new ways.
