“Home for the Holidays” Buffalo Plaid Little Houses
These little houses would make great table top decor or fireplace mantle decor. Imagine them with small green Christmas trees on each side. I think I need to make a vignette like this and take another picture. Gotta go buy some little trees…..
But in the meantime….let me tell you how my Mom made these.
We had some leftover lumber from other projects. So…..that always leads to thoughts of “what can we make from this scrap piece of wood?” We had already made A LOT and I do mean A LOT of pumpkins. So now, it was time to move on to the next holiday….CHRISTMAS!
Mom decoupaged fabric on these two pieces of wood. One is a 2×4 and the other is a 2×6. She added small pieces of wood to make the roofs. We then glued some wired burlap ribbon to the roofs.
We were able to fit the “Home for the Holidays” ribbon across the fronts and added some pinecones, berries and greenery. Voila.
Two precious little homes made from scrap lumber.
