Ho Ho Ho Christmas Door Hanger
Ho, Ho, Ho…..a deep throated laugh or chuckle. Christmas is all about good cheer.
We thought this door hanger was a cute, cheerful way to enter your home.
Here is how we made it. Mom cut the round circle from craft wood we bought from Home Depot. She painted it red with the black belt across the middle.
She tried to paint the buckle but wasn’t having any luck so she made the buckle out of a small piece of wood. We made the top of the ornament out of a letter “O”. And we made the buttons from snowflakes glued to burlap that we painted black.
We couldn’t decide about the letters or font for the HO HO HO. But when we found the buffalo check at Hobby Lobby we thought that would be perfect. We decided to hang it with the cute ribbon that is polka dot on one side and striped on the other.
We put a bow on the left side made from red and white buffalo check and black and white buffalo check and threw in a few polka dots for the sheer fun.
I hope you make something like this in your craft adventures. I am so fortunate to be able to work with my Mom. My step dad just passed away last month. So we both use crafts as a way to focus on creativity instead of depression. Enjoy crafting therapy!!
