Red and White Inspiration
Candle Holders and Christmas Trees
I am reposting this from September this year.
This blog is a little early for Christmas. But we crafters have to begin early. Mom and I decided we had enough Halloween and Fall Decor so we began on Christmas. We used what wood we had on hand as all the hurricanes came through, but ended up by passing us. Thank the Good Lord!
Keep reading for inspiration and how to’s.
We decided to use RED and WHITE with a touch of burlap and twine.
For the candle holders we used untreated 4×4’s. (You could probably get Home Depot to cut into the sizes you need if you don’t have access to saws.)
We painted the small and large ones white and the middle one red. We sanded down the edges to make a distressed look. We then embellished with ribbon and twine. We glued glass votives on top to put the battery operated tea lights in. Voila’– Done
Now for the Christmas Trees. They are not quite finished. We decided to make them into planter stakes. But we made these out of cedar fence slats. More pictures coming soon…..
Click below for their full story. They have a story to tell….whew….They are on my blog as Red and White Whimsical Christmas Trees.
